Owner & Head Carpenter
Sam is the owner and head carpenter at Lawless Construction with over seven years of experience in carpentry.
In 2014, Sam began his apprenticeship and become a qualified carpenter by 2017. Through his determination and passion, Sam was able to qualify within three years compared to the standard four-year apprenticeship.
Sam’s passion for the trade began in his younger years where he often spent hours building go carts, cubby houses, and dog kennels with his younger brothers.
MACK CREEVEY
Carpenter
Mack is a qualified carpenter with over 7 years of experience. Mack’s interest in carpentry started when spent his school holidays labouring. He has enjoyed seeing Lawless Construction grow from its humble beginnings and believes that the company is on the right path to being one of the best in Victoria. While working for Lawless Construction, Mack has been given the opportunity to become a crew leader which has allowed him to be more confident.
GEORGE LAWLESS
Carpenter
George is a qualified carpenter with over 4 years of experience. As one of the crew leaders he saw carpentry as a perfect fit for him as he loves working outdoors and using his hands. George believes that Sam and the rest of the crew have created a supportive environment and trusting work culture. While working at Lawless Construction, George has learnt how to effectively work within a team and improved his communication skills.
JACK LAWLESS
2nd year apprentice
Jack’s love for working with timber along with his dad and both of his brothers being carpenters motivated him to become a carpenter and carry on the family tradition. The crew at Lawless Construction always motivates Jack to work hard and makes working as a team enjoyable. Sam has been Jack’s biggest influence inside and outside of work and Jack has learnt multiple valuable lessons while working at Lawless Construction.
RYAN LOJKO
Second-year apprentice
Throughout his childhood, he was fascinated with watching his father renovate their family home. During year 12, Ryan completed work experience with LC one day a week which ignited his passion for carpentry. He appreciates that the leaders always take the extra step to ensure that the apprentices understand the importance of completing high-quality work. Ryan believes working at Lawless Construction has allowed him to better understand his priorities.
TYLER KILLICK
Second-year apprentice
Tyler’s passion for carpentry began when he was younger, his dad owned a building company and Tyler was fascinated by the carpenter’s work. Tyler states that all the leaders are always prepared to answer any questions and offer the apprentices unlimited support. Since working for Lawless Construction Tyler has become more proactive and understands the importance of thinking ahead. He’s also learnt to be more confident in his work.
JARED HOGG
First-year apprentice
Jared wanted to get into carpentry because he believes it can enable him to learn a niche set of skills and it will be able to build a career for himself. Jared feels that working for Lawless Construction is like working as a small family and he is always inspired by the other crew member to work hard and produce great quality work. Jared has learnt how to work effectively within a group and believes that teamwork makes the dream work.
